Daily Choices: What to do on Tuesday, November 27

THEATER: Love that old time rock 'n' roll? See what it was like in the 1950's in Memphis, Tennessee, when Rochester Broadway Theatre League brings in the Tony-winning "Memphis," running tonight through Sunday. The show starts Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Auditorium Theatre; tickets cost $27.50-$67.50. (885 E. Main St. 222-5000. rbtl.org.)

MUSIC: Who doesn't love some good, hearty Italian food accompanied with live jazz? If that's your cup of spaghetti, head on down to Prosecco (1550 Route 332, Farmington, proseccoitalianrestaurant.com, 924-8000) tonight for the live stylings of Mark Bader on the piano. Music starts at 6 p.m. Call for more info.

MUSIC: Let's be honest, everyone knows that brass musicians are the real heavy lifters in classical music, even if they don't always get the spotlight. That changes tonight. Check out the Brass Guild and Trombone Choir at Kodak Hall (26 Gibbs St., esm.rochester.edu) for a free performance at 8 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENT: Experience the wonder of winter flowers at the Annual Holiday Poinsettia Show at Lamberton Conservatory in Highland Park (180 Reservoir Ave.). Gaze at more than 1,000 poinsettias in more than 15 varieties. Today the show is open 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and it will last through the holidays. $2-$3. 753-7270. monroecountygov/parks.

MUSIC: Family reunions can be the best of times or the worst of times, but at least they are always interesting. What happens if you throw in spirits? New York City-based Americana folk troupe Spirit Family Reunion is trying to find out, and wants you (and your spirit) to be part of the experience. Gather in the reunion yourself tonight at Water Street Music Hall (204 N. Water St., waterstreetmusic.com, 8 p.m., $8-$10). Clinton's Ditch opens.

MUSIC: There are plenty of things I've hunted for in my life, but I can't say I've ever hunted for teeth. Good thing, because I wouldn't want to trod on the territory of Buffalo-based folk/pop rock group Hunting for Teeth, which will be at the Bug Jar (219 Monroe Ave., bugjar.com, 9 p.m., $6-$8) tonight, bringing along friends Upstate and the Yummies. You probably won't have to hunt much further to find a good time.

ART: Explore Irondequoit Art Club's Holiday Art & Craft Sale as part of your holiday shopping routine. It takes place today at Evans Library (45 Cooper Road) 10 a.m.-8:45 p.m. and continues through the week. Check irondequoitartclub.org for details.
