Daily Choices: What to do on Wednesday, May 1

Theater: Catch a staging of "The Glass Menagerie" tonight, 8 p.m., at Todd Theatre at the University of Rochester's River Campus. Tickets are $10-$15 and the show continues through May 4. For more information, visit rochester.edu/theatre.

Music: Before you dismiss Insane Clown Posse as merely juvenile humor for booger-eating morons drenched in soda pop, check out one of the duo’s more recent videos, “Where’s God?” with the thought-provoking chorus, “Where’s god when shit goes down?” Believe it or not, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope have been at it for more than 30 years, releasing over 23 albums where above and beyond the celebrated lo-jinx, they’ve created a kind of lyrical and mystical fantasy world called the Dark Carnival. This is gonna get sticky. Insane Clown Posse plays tonight, May 1, 7:30 p.m. at the Main Street Armory, 900 E. Main St. $22.50-$28. rochestermainstreetarmory.com.

Art: Check out Alan Singer's solo show of paintings and prints, "Fact of Fiction," at The Little Theatre Cafe (240 East Ave.) tonight, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is free and the show is up through May 24. For more info, visit thelittle.org.

Music: Spring weather has finally hit Rochester, and with it the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (rpo.org) is taking its show on the road. Tonight you can catch the orchestra at East High School (1801 Main St.,), tomorrow the show is at the Church of Love Faith Center (700 Exchange St.), and the final night on Friday will be at St. Joseph’s Church (43 Gebhardt Rd., Penfield). All performances start at 7:30 p.m. and are free.

Lecture: Former lead singer and guitarist for Barenaked Ladies, Steven Page, will give a talk on his creative process at the The Institute of Popular Music today at 5 p.m. in the Strong Auditorium at University of Rochester's River Campus. The talk is free to attend. More info: rochester.edu/popmusic.
