Beginning March 25, 2023 the Seneca Art & Culture Center at Ganondagan will showcase the WAMPUM/OTGOÄ exhibition. The WAMPUM/OTGOÄ exhibition features Indigenous wampum objects from the Musée du quai Branly, wampum belts from the Rochester Museum & Science Center and contemporary wampum pieces by Haudenosaunee artists. Ganondagan welcomes these important Wampum objects back to Turtle Island for the first time since the formation of the United States. Individual tours are self-guided with guided group tours and classroom tours available. Wam-pum enrichment will feature monthly Haudenosaunee artists and knowledge keepers, a symposium and educational materials. 585-924-5848

Gillian Laub: Southern Rites

New York, 1975) has spent the last two decades investigating political conflicts, exploring family relationships, and challenging assumptions about cultural identity. In Southern Rites, Laub examines the realities of racism and raises questions that are simultaneously painful and essential to understanding the American consciousness.

Duck, Duck, Shoot! The Story of American Waterbirds

Works of oil, acrylic, and watercolor, colored lithographs, sculpture, historic garments, decoys, natural specimens, L.C. Smith shotguns, the artwork of famed Master L.C. Smith Engraver Albert E. Kraus, and more are featured in this multi-faceted exhibition that explores the hunting of waterbirds, moving from sustenance hunting to excessive hunting, from near destruction of waterbirds to an environmentally conscious and sustainable American pastime.
