Tonight's dance will be called by David Smukler, a gifted dance choreographer from Syracuse, with music by Molly (violin), Laurel (Oboe and other winds) and Meg (piano). English dancing is walking in patterns with other people. 19th century dance rules switch partners after each dance. Beginners welcome, all dances walked through before dancing, no partner necessary. Just bring a pair of clean-soled shoes. A tea with pot-luck yummies provided at the break. English is a good low-impact way to keep your body and mind active while engaging with other people.
