Now in its eleventh anniversary season, the string quintet Gibbs & Main will present EuphoNY 2014, where they are truly breaking new ground with several works written for the quintet along with Pablo Bustos, tenor and James “Glory” Giddeon, hip hop artist. All of the music being performed is written by living New York State composers and lyricists, with all of the music on this series either commissioned by or written for Gibbs & Main. Works will feature new and highly listenable music by Carson Cooman, Diego Garcia, Eric Polenik and Mark Webster, with texts written by Karine Stone and James “Glory” Giddeon.
